Within 24 hours media was asking questions such as "Do we still need affirmative action". There is a danger in thinking that this tremendous advance in the public arena means that racism, prejudice and discrimination are things of the past.
Obama's victory is an opportunity and we must recommit to our efforts to educate, advocate and work toward a world without racism.
