Profile Information

Favorite anti-racist inspiration:
Many. Some directly involved in anti-racist social movement; others indirectly but necessarily contribute to the conversation: Martín Espada, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Fannie Lou Hamer, Otto Rene Castillo, Eduardo Galeano, Amartya Sen, bell hooks, and damali ayo, of course.
About Me:
I'm 21, and finishing up my final year at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I see a great need for a group of this nature in my city, where racism and white fear run rampant. Looking forward to getting to know you all and getting involved!

Hi, Emily:
Public health is a great field, there are many possible avenues to venture down. Where are you hoping to go to graduate school? What are you doing this summer?
Best book I have read recently is by Barbara Trepagnier about how well-intended whites contribute to racism. Check it out, it is very enlightening.
Peace,
Heather
